LAS VEGAS–Manny Pacquiao hammered out a unanimous decision over Timothy Bradley Jr. Saturday night (Sunday, Manila time) at the MGM Grand here then acknowledged an emotional farewell from a crowd that was bent on sending its hero into the sunset with a roar of appreciation.

All three judges scored it 116-110 for Pacquiao, who scored two knockdowns en route to the decision.

“Every round, I was looking for a knockout but Bradley was too tough,” Pacquiao said after the match.

MANILA, Philippines - Nonito Donaire Jr. fought Cesar Juarez like his life was at stake yesterday, earning a unanimous decision and winning the vacant WBO super-bantamweight title in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The 33-year-old Filipino floored the Mexican twice in the fourth but was swollen, bleeding and hurt from the fifth round until the end. At times late in the fight, he was in trouble.

MANILA, Philippines – Moments after Floyd Mayweather announced he’s fighting Manny Pacquiao on May 2, tickets to the super fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas have reportedly sold out.

According to a report by Martin Rogers of USA Today, the MGM Grand “appeared to have completely sold out within 15 minutes” after Mayweather’s social media announcement that the fight is a go.

MANILA, Philippines - A close associate of Floyd Mayweather Jr. claims the boxer wants to fight Manny Pacquiao in what could go down as the richest fight in boxing history.

In an interview with Ryan Sandoval of FightHype.com, Sam Watson, Mayweather’s longtime adviser, said the undefeated American desires the showdown as much as Pacquiao does.

“Floyd wants to fight Manny Pacquiao real bad,” Watson said.

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Floyd Mayweather worked far too hard against Marcos Maidana their last time out to have to do it again in the rematch Saturday night.

Mayweather dominated Maidana from the opening bell, using his boxing skills to keep the Argentine off balance and pile up points on his way to a unanimous 12-round decision to retain his welterweight and super welterweight titles before a crowd at the MGM Grand that sometimes booed the lack of action.
